About Me:
I have been married to my wife Kristi since September, 2000 and have two children; Andy and Jessi. I grew up in Horton and graduated from Hanover-Horton Schools in June, 1997. I attended Spring Arbor University where I earned my BA in Teaching Secondary Mathematics as well as K-12 Special Education. I did my student teaching at Parkside Middle School. After graduating from Spring Arbor University I began teaching at Michigan Center High School. I have taught High School Algebra and Geometry as well as co-taught as a Special Education Teacher in several subject areas at Michigan Center Schools. Currently, I teach Algebra and Geometry in the high school.
Prior to beginning my teaching career I worked as a Master Electrician and career Firefighter. When I was in high school I went to the Jackson Area Career Center and used the skills I learned there to become an electrician in the Jackson area. I worked for a couple of local contractors prior to earning my Master Electrical license. During this time My wife, son, and I made the decision to move to Woodland Park, Colorado. While in Colorado, I became a career firefighter in a small mountain town on the west side of Pikes Peak called Cripple Creek. After four years of living in the mountains my daughter was born and we made the decision to move back to the Jackson area and this is when I made the decision to become a teacher.
